Ajarakh is a unique form of resist block printing, originally from the Sindh in Pakistan and still practiced widely today in Kutch, Gujarat.

It uses natural dyes, predominantly Indigo, Madder (red), Iron and Harde (yellow), printed in complex geometric and floral patterns.

The name “Ajarakh” is derived from the word “Asarak”, meaning blue in Arabic and Persion.
